China Eastern Airlines reports record in international flights and passengers
Between July 1 and August 31, China Eastern Airlines operated 27,000 international and regional flights and carried 4.49 million international passengers, a historic record high. The airline is further expanding its international route network and currently operates 229 international and regional routes with about 3,052 weekly round-trip flights. China Eastern Airlines opens Shanghai–Barcelona route with themed flight 'Spanish Art Season'
China Eastern Airlines will launch a new international service between Shanghai and Barcelona on 26 September 2025 with four weekly flights. On board the Airbus A350 the themed flight 'Spanish Art Season - Cloud Journey' will be offered, incorporating Gaudí motifs in the cabin design and overhead-bay decals and featuring cultural initiatives such as an online check-in campaign.
