Eos Energy, together with MN8 Energy and Google, announced the $350 million Mammoth Solar project in West Virginia, intended to power Google data centers around the clock via the PJM grid. The project combines an 86 MW solar array, Eos’s zinc-based long-duration storage (Z3) of 10 MW/100 MWh, and a lithium-ion storage system of 70 MW/280 MWh; commissioning is planned for 2028 (solar) and 2030 (long-duration storage). Eos Energy is moving all battery manufacturing to Thorn Hill (Warrendale, PA), completing its Pittsburgh production plan. The consolidation — already factored into its annual revenue guidance of $300–350 million — is expected to reduce conversion costs by about 10–15% starting in 2027 and achieve a nameplate capacity of roughly 4 GWh. The move from Turtle Creek will begin in the fourth quarter and is expected to be finished in early 2027; assembly, testing and shipping in Turtle Creek (building 200) will remain in place.
