Tomra grows strongly in third quarter, recycling business drives momentum
Tomra increased third-quarter revenue by 20% to €366 million, beating analysts' expectations. EBITA rose 55% to €47 million with an underlying margin of 12.9%; earnings per share were €0.08 (estimate: €0.07). The recycling business grew 34% and order intake climbed 73% to €73 million, supported by larger mine contracts and a major UK order for 2,000 machines. Management is optimistic about modernization cycles and recurring revenues, while the share price should benefit from the figures, although there is not yet a clear technical buy signal. » Más en deraktionaer.de

France's shift away from deposit system weighs on Tomra Systems shares
Tomra Systems shares fell about 6.8% today after the French government abandoned plans for a nationwide deposit return scheme for beverage containers. France now allows municipalities to choose their own recycling solutions, which could reduce demand for deposit-return machines from Tomra’s collection division. Rival Envipco was also hit hard by the news, while analysts stress that the EU’s 90% collection target is difficult to reach without a DRS and that a later rollout cannot be ruled out. The price drop reflects a reassessment of the likelihood and timing of French deposit-system projects as well as existing margin-pressure risks. » Más en de.investing.com
