Abbott receives FDA approval for dual heart ablation catheter TactiFlex Duo

Abbott has received FDA approval for the TactiFlex Duo, Sensor Enabled ablation catheter for the treatment of atrial fibrillation. The catheter combines pulsed field ablation and radiofrequency energy in a single device, allowing physicians to use one or both energy modalities during minimally invasive procedures. The approval is based on the FlexPulse IDE study, which demonstrated safety and effectiveness in paroxysmal atrial fibrillation; the device is compatible with the EnSite X EP system.
