Aberdeen New India Investment Trust outperforms MSCI India in evaluation period

For the period 1 April 2022 to 31 July 2026 the Aberdeen New India Investment Trust delivered an adjusted total return of net asset value per share of 24.2%, outperforming the MSCI India index (in GBP) by 3.8 percentage points. The unaudited NAV per share was 812.3 pence as at 31 July, and the adjusted NAV was 866.3 pence (including Indian capital gains taxes paid/accrued since 1 April 2022). The announcement is linked to a conditional buyback offer: if the adjusted total return in the evaluation period to 31 March 2027 fails to meet the benchmark, the board intends to propose a buyback of 25% of the issued share capital at 98% of NAV after costs. The trust follows a concentrated investment approach in Indian growth companies and engages in active dialogue with portfolio companies to enhance shareholder value. » Plus sur de.investing.com
