Aegon launches Shanghai insurance asset manager to target long‑duration investments

Aegon has established Aegon Insurance Asset Management Company in Shanghai, obtaining its insurance asset management license in June 2025 and starting operations on February 2, 2026 to access long-term investments such as infrastructure and renewable energy. The move allows direct participation in Chinese long-duration assets that fit Aegon’s asset‑liability management strategy.
