Atlas Energy expands autonomous truck fleet in the Permian Basin to 100 vehicles
Atlas Energy, in partnership with Kodiak, will expand its autonomous truck fleet for sand deliveries in the Permian Basin to 100 vehicles by mid-2027. As of March 31, 2026, the company operated 28 driverless trucks on 15 routes; the expanded fleet is expected, subject to regulatory and operational milestones, to also run on public roads from early 2027. Atlas is now deploying the trucks at a second loading point along its 42-mile sand delivery system and has transported roughly 7,000 loads — more than 450,000 tons of sand — since 2024. » Plus sur de.investing.com
