Bakkt completes acquisition of stablecoin developer DTR

Bakkt has completed the acquisition of Distributed Technologies Research (DTR), issuing 11,316,775 Class A common shares to the economic owners of DTR; up to 725,592 additional shares may be issued in connection with warrants. The aim is to integrate DTR’s stablecoin and payments infrastructure into Bakkt’s regulated platform to build a digital settlement layer for cross-border payments. Bakkt secures $48.1 million through registered direct placement

Bakkt is selling 3,024,799 common shares and pre-funded warrants for up to 2,475,201 shares to an institutional investor, raising gross proceeds of $48.125 million at prices of $8.75 per share and $8.7499 per warrant. Bakkt supports Nexo's re-entry into the US market

Bakkt has announced a partnership with Nexo under which Nexo will use Bakkt’s US trading infrastructure to facilitate its return to the American market.
