Bank of Ireland appoints Niamh Marshall and Hans van der Noordaa as committee chairs

Bank of Ireland has appointed Niamh Marshall as chair of the audit committee with effect from 1 April; she succeeds Richard Goulding, who will retire on 31 March. Hans van der Noordaa will take over as chair of the remuneration committee on 1 May, replacing Ian Buchanan, who will step down on 30 April. Bank of Ireland reports strong Q4 2025 with robust net interest income, but stock falls

Bank of Ireland reported strong net interest income of €3.2bn for Q4/2025 and 7% growth in fee income, driven by the Wealth and Insurance division. The bank increased investment in digitalisation, which, together with wage inflation, pushed operating costs up 3%. The CET1 ratio was 15.1% after distributions and capital generation amounted to 270 basis points for the year.
