Trump revokes U.S. certification for Bombardier planes and threatens 50 percent tariffs
U.S. President Donald Trump announced he would strip the U.S. certification for aircraft made in Canada as long as Ottawa does not grant approval to U.S. manufacturers such as Gulfstream. He also threatened 50 percent tariffs on planes from Canada. Bombardier is assessing the situation and is in contact with the Canadian government; a revocation would affect CRJ regional jets and A220 aircraft and would have significant impacts on U.S. air traffic. It remains unclear to what extent a president can unilaterally enforce such certification changes; agencies referred inquiries to the White House. » Plus sur faz.net
