Bridger Aerospace: aircraft shortage and long-term government contracts drive business
Bridger Aerospace presented its business model at the growth conference, benefiting from rising demand for aerial firefighting, longer-term exclusive contracts and its own IGNIS software. The private super-scooper fleet was expanded to eight aircraft; four of the six U.S. planes are committed to 160-day deployments, boosting utilization and guaranteed revenue. However, the company points to fleet constraints, high maintenance requirements, a complex capital structure and long lead times for new aircraft. Bridger holds around $75 million of a credit facility available for future purchases and sees further growth potential from longer fire seasons and changes in government procurement. » Plus sur de.investing.com
Bridger Aerospace misses Q2 estimates, stock plunges sharply after hours
Bridger Aerospace reported a second‑quarter loss of $0.13 per share on revenue of $30.5 million, considerably worse than analysts’ expected loss of $0.02 and $37.3 million in revenue. The stock fell about 23% after hours to $1.30, pressured by declining adjusted EBITDA, cash falling to $7.2 million and higher interest expense. Management expects improvements in the second half, points to two 160‑day U.S. Forest Service contracts and a $58 million contract with Texas A&M, and reaffirms its full‑year guidance of $135–145 million in revenue and $55–60 million in adjusted EBITDA. » Plus sur de.investing.com
Bridger Aerospace relies on a limited fleet and IGNIS software for growth
At an investor conference Bridger Aerospace presented a business model based on a small fleet of Super Scooper firefighting aircraft, recurring contracts and the IGNIS software for operations coordination. The company says it operates eight Super Scoopers, reports a 100% contract renewal rate and is shifting from on‑demand assignments to contracts with guaranteed purchase volumes. To finance fleet expansion management cited a Bain Capital‑led refinancing package of $331 million and a sale‑leaseback transaction of about $49 million. Bridger highlights rising margins from higher utilization, sees the wildfire‑fighting market still in an early growth stage and considers the stock undervalued. » Plus sur de.investing.com
