Capstone Mining reported an adjusted record EBITDA of $329 million for Q1 2026 and adjusted net earnings of $95 million ($0.12 per share), supported by strong copper prices and operational efficiency. A 35-day strike at Mantoverde reduced production by about 5,000 tonnes; consolidated copper production was 48,000 tonnes. Capstone is selling a 25% stake in the Chilean Santo Domingo and Sierra Norte projects to Orion Resource Partners for up to $360m in cash, including $225m following a positive final investment decision, $75m within six months and up to $60m in contingent payments. Orion, which currently holds an 11.9% stake in Capstone, will also subscribe for Capstone shares worth $10m at a 5% premium to the volume-weighted average price; Capstone retains a buyback right on the stake after production begins.
