Citigroup pushes recovery in BMW shares

Citigroup assigned BMW the status "Positive Catalyst Watch", expecting short-term positive price drivers and helping the shares recover with a 1.8% gain. Citigroup posts strong Q2 with $5.8 billion profit, launches $30 billion buyback and lifts dividend

Citigroup reported Q2 net income of $5.8 billion, EPS $3.15 and revenue of $24.8 billion, its best quarterly revenue in a decade, with ROTCE at 13%. Broad-based growth was led by Services, Markets and Banking, while Wealth and U.S. Consumer Cards also grew amid higher investment-related costs. The bank ended the quarter with a CET1 ratio of 12.8%, repurchased $4 billion of stock, announced a $30 billion repurchase commitment and plans a 12% dividend increase. Citigroup reports quarterly results on 14 July 2026 — analysts expect significantly lower revenue

Citigroup will release results for the quarter ended 30 June 2026 on 14 July 2026. Seventeen analysts expect EPS of $2.74 (prior year $1.96) on average revenue of $23.74 billion, a decline of about 45 percent versus the year‑ago quarter.
