Hapag-Lloyd intends to continue pursuing the takeover of Israeli shipping company ZIM for around €3.6 billion, even though the Israeli government has so far issued a veto. CEO Rolf Habben Jansen stresses that the proposed plan is an improvement over the status quo and that talks with Israeli authorities have intensified in recent weeks.
