Hawaiian Airlines will replace the Boeing 717 currently used on intra‑Hawaiian routes with the Boeing 737-800. The 737-800 offers more than twice as many first-class seats, over 30 additional premium seats, plus Starlink Wi‑Fi, adjustable leather seats, 110‑volt outlets and USB ports at every seat. The fleet will be based in Honolulu and operated by locally based staff; the transition begins in 2028. Hawaiian Airlines will end free in-flight meals and introduce a pre-order menu curated by Maui chef Sheldon Simeon starting July 1, with plans to expand offerings in the fall. Meals, priced $11–$17, can be ordered via the Alaska-Hawaiian app or website from two weeks up to 20 hours before departure; free snacks and other buy-on-board products remain unchanged. Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines are introducing the self-managed corporate travel program "Atmos for Business" for small and mid-size companies with at least $5,000 in annual travel spend. Companies earn points for every US dollar spent, redeemable with Alaska, Hawaiian and more than 30 partners; travelers can link personal "Atmos Rewards" accounts and receive a 10% bonus on status points. The airlines are also launching the Atmos Rewards Visa Business credit card with benefits such as a companion fare, a free checked bag and priority boarding.
