At the Noosa Mining Conference Hillgrove Resources reported a strong operations update: production rose from about 900,000 t (2024) to an annualised rate of 1.8 million t, with a target of >2 million t after commissioning the Emily Star mining area in H2 2027. The company generated positive cash flow of $7 million in the last quarter despite a $6 million hedging loss that is expected to roll off, and intends to fund growth from internal cash flow. Management says Kanmantoo has capacity for 3.6 million t but is running at only about 50% utilisation; additional projects such as North Kavanagh and a JV for Mutooroo should further raise utilisation.
