Largo extends loan maturity to March 2030 through debt restructuring
Largo announced a restructuring of liabilities of about USD 82.2 million, extending the original September 2026 maturity to March 2030. The company and its subsidiary LVMSA signed a term sheet with five banks; the plan foresees six months without principal repayments, followed by 36 months of quarterly principal repayments with monthly interest payments. The agreement is subject to negotiation of the final documentation and is intended to give Largo time to ramp up production and prepare deliveries of high-purity vanadium pentoxide, including to the US Defense Logistics Agency. After the announcement, the stock rose 3.8% in after-hours trading. » Plus sur de.investing.com
Largo cancels iron ore sales contract after missed down payment and weighs US tariff implications
Largo canceled the sale of up to 4.5 million tonnes of iron ore calcine after the buyer failed to pay a due down payment of $2.9 million; no material was delivered, Largo retains title to the calcine and is seeking other buyers. The company does not expect material financial or operational impacts but notes short-term liquidity strains (current ratio 0.5) and high indebtedness. Largo is also reviewing the implications of a US decision on customs jurisdiction: previously lifted 50% duties on direct imports from Brazil could be reset to 10–15%, which could affect the release of vanadium units held in US bonded warehouses; at the same time, vanadium prices have recovered substantially recently. » Plus sur de.investing.com
Largo sells iron ore calcine for over US$56 million
Largo has completed the sale of up to 4.5 million tonnes of iron ore calcine, generating cash proceeds of more than US$56 million. Payment is due with US$2.9 million by Jan. 30, US$1.9 million by Feb. 16 and monthly instalments of US$1.9 million from April. The transaction is intended to improve short-term cash flow, reduce stockpile and disposal costs, and partially offset weak vanadium prices. Largo most recently reported negative free cash flow of US$28 million over twelve months and liabilities of US$106 million, and is pursuing a strategy of monetising by-products from the Maracás-Menchen mine. » Plus sur de.investing.com
