MB Energy intends to build a large ammonia import terminal in the Port of Hamburg and is seeking approval this year; Air Products is supposed to split the ammonia into hydrogen and nitrogen but is not formally involved yet. The project would be a key element for developing a hydrogen economy in Germany; MB Energy also names potential supplier countries such as Saudi Arabia, Canada and the USA and stresses that both "blue" and "green" ammonia will play a role.
