National Bank of Greece reports 12% loan growth and nearly €1 billion profit in nine months
National Bank of Greece says its loan book grew 12% year-on-year and net profit for the first nine months of 2025 is approaching €1 billion. Net interest income fell 9.8% to €1.6 billion, while the cost-income ratio came in better than expected at 33%. The CET1 ratio rose to 19% and market share in investment funds increased by 3 percentage points. National Bank of Greece keeps profit stable and raises EPS guidance
National Bank of Greece reports an unchanged after-tax profit of €700m for Q2 2025 and raises its EPS guidance from €1.30 to €1.40. Net interest income fell by 9% while fee income rose by 14%. For 2025 the bank aims to reduce non-performing loans by more than €2.5bn and target a RoTE of over 15%, and it may pay an interim dividend in Q4; the new core banking system is expected to be completed in early 2026.
