Orlen seeks alternative crude supplies after Saudi disruptions

Orlen is scrambling to replace disrupted Saudi crude imports following an escalation in the Middle East and Houthi attacks, buying spot cargoes from the North Sea including Grane, Johan Sverdrup and Johan Castberg. The company also tendered for grades further afield such as U.S. WTI Midland and Kazakh CPC Blend. Orlen expects imminent completion of takeover of Polimery Police

Orlen chief Ireneusz Fafara said he expects an agreement to acquire the Polimery Police chemical plant from Grupa Azoty could be reached shortly. Shares of Grupa Azoty fell by as much as 5.2% after reports of a possible legal dispute that could jeopardize the transaction. PKN Orlen reports strong operating cash flow and proposes record dividend

PKN Orlen posted Q2 2026 revenue of PLN 76.5 billion, EBITDA of PLN 13.9 billion and operating cash flow of PLN 15.2 billion despite extensive maintenance shutdowns. Net debt stands at PLN 4.5 billion, or 0.1x EBITDA, and management proposes a record dividend of PLN 8 per share. Investment plans for 2026 remain around PLN 36 billion; the third quarter is likely to be burdened by further turnarounds, while refinery and power margins are expected to be supportive.
