Earlier Phase‑1 data showed clinical responses in five ulcerative colitis patients (two remissions) and in the Crohn’s cohort an average SES‑CD reduction of ~47.5% (two patients with endoscopic response and remission). The FDA has approved the IND application for PALI-2108, allowing Palisade Bio to start the global phase‑2 study ASCENTRA‑UC in moderate to severe ulcerative colitis. The randomized, double‑blind, placebo‑controlled dose‑finding trial will evaluate about 204 patients in North America and Europe (15 mg and 30 mg once daily) with the primary endpoint of clinical remission at week 12; first patient enrollments are planned for H2 2026 and primary efficacy readouts are expected in H2 2027.
