Trisura Group posts record result in Q1 2026 – shares rise

Trisura Group reported the highest operating net profit in the company’s history in Q1 2026. Operating earnings per share were 0.78 CAD (+11% year-on-year), revenues were 779.64 million CAD and exceeded expectations by 6.96%, although EPS slightly missed the forecast. The loss and expense ratio was 84% and operating net income amounted to 37.9 million CAD; net investment income rose 16% to 21.2 million CAD. Trisura Group appoints Chris Sekine to the board; Robert Taylor resigns

Trisura Group has appointed Chris Sekine to its board; Sekine will stand for election at this year’s annual general meeting. Sekine was president and CEO of Trisura Guarantee Insurance Company from 2018 to 2024, built the surety business starting in 2006, and has served since 2025 as an executive director on the board and as chair of the board of First Founders Assurance Company. Co‑founder Robert Taylor, former CEO (2006–2012) and former chair, is stepping down but will remain a member of the board of Trisura Guarantee Insurance Company.
