  • Whitecap Resources reaches new 52-week high after analyst recommendation and oil price rise

Whitecap Resources shares rose nearly 2% to C$18.58, reaching C$18.68 intraday, driven by a buy recommendation from Roth/MKM with a C$21 price target and a forecast of C$12.7 billion in free cash flow through 2030. Support also came from a top rating in a Montney well study, record funds flow of CAD 1.4 billion in Q2, an increased production guidance to 385,000 BOE/d and a CAD 900 million reduction in net debt. The sharp rise in oil prices (Brent above $100) amid geopolitical tensions provided additional tailwind for the oil-focused company. » Plus sur de.investing.com

  • Whitecap raises 2026 output guidance, targets C$2.2b free cash flow

Whitecap updated its 2026 guidance to 384,000–386,000 BOE/day (≈61% liquids) and, using a US$75 oil and C$2/GJ AECO gas price deck, expects C$4.3 billion of cash flow, C$2.1 billion of capex and C$2.2 billion of free cash flow. Efficiency gains from the Veren acquisition improve capital and operating costs and are expected to add roughly C$500 million annually to free cash flow. The company plans to cut net debt to about C$2 billion by end-2026 while continuing dividends and buybacks, targeting longer-term production growth and maintaining hedges on a portion of volumes. » Plus sur finance.yahoo.com

  • Whitecap Resources focuses on debt reduction and steady growth

Whitecap Resources unveiled a strategy in Denver that prioritizes cash-flow discipline, debt reduction and balanced growth. The company is targeting about CAD 4.3 billion of cash flow for 2026 and roughly CAD 2.2 billion of free cash flow, and aims to cut debt from CAD 3.4 billion at end-2025 to CAD 2.0 billion by end-2026. The acquisition of Veren, the company says, improved capital efficiency and lowered operating costs, contributing around CAD 500 million annually to free cash flow. Whitecap confirms production of about 385,000 BOE/day, pays a CAD 0.73 annual dividend and uses a hedging program to stabilize cash flow. » Plus sur de.investing.com
