Wistron opens first US factory in Texas to produce NVIDIA's AI superchips

Wistron has started operations at a roughly $700 million factory in Fort Worth, Texas, and begun volume production of NVIDIA's GB300 superchip; the Vera Rubin superchip is also slated to be produced there in the future. The facility uses NVIDIA compute, models such as Nemotron and Cosmos, and Omniverse and Metropolis libraries to simulate factory design and production processes via a digital twin. Wistron intends to expand AI server manufacturing from Taiwan to the US to provide shorter lead times and greater resilience in the US AI supply chain. Wistron has opened its first U.S. production site, D1, in Fort Worth, Texas; the $700 million facility is already mass-producing the Nvidia GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra and is preparing a second production cell for the Vera Rubin superchip. Production is to be ramped up to tens of thousands of boards per month, after which Wistron shares rose nearly 10% to 164 TWD.
