Woolworths reports adjusted net profit up 15.4% to A$1.599bn and adjusted EBIT up 12.7% to A$3.105bn, on group revenue of A$71.5bn. EBIT was around 2% above analyst consensus. The company will pay a fully franked final dividend of 52 cents per share (+15.6%). Woolworth is recalling four toy products, including “Stretchy Sand” (Watermelon, Blueberry), “Stretchmaus 12 Zentimeter” and “Stretchy Soldat”, because the processed sand may be contaminated with asbestos.
