X-Energy receives additional DOE funding of up to $1 billion despite quarterly loss
X-Energy reported a second-quarter loss of $0.15 per share on revenue including grants of $54.6 million, driven by engineering services in the ARDP. The U.S. Department of Energy increased ARDP funding for X-Energy by up to $1 billion, bringing the government cost share to as much as $2.115 billion. The company held $1.9 billion in cash and assets at the end of the quarter, was debt-free, and secured binding HALEU supply contracts with Centrus and General Atomics.
