Zurich Insurance Group offers 1,310 pence per Beazley share plus an interim dividend of 25 pence (1,335 pence in total), paying about £8.1 billion in cash — a 59.8% premium to the closing price on 16 January 2026. The merger will create a specialty insurer with pro-forma gross written premiums of around $15 billion in the specialty segment. Zurich has tabled a takeover offer for Australian life insurer Clearview, offering 0.65 AUD per share, valuing Clearview at about 415 million AUD (249 million EUR).
