AL001 achieved FDA‑compliant bioequivalence to standard lithium carbonate in a Phase 2 study at Massachusetts General Hospital (101% AUC, 97% Cmax) and showed numerically higher lithium levels in 26 brain regions, with about 7.8% higher total brain exposure and a faster time to peak. The randomized crossover study in healthy volunteers included 12 participants and 14‑day dosing cycles.
