Lloyds Banking Group appoints Kelly Bennett, effective 1 September, as an independent, non-executive member of the board of directors. Bennett was Chief Marketing Officer at Netflix from 2012–2019 and previously held senior roles at Warner Bros.; she has also advised Microsoft Xbox and the founders of Nubank and is currently chair of the supervisory board at Zalando as well as a venture advisor at Technology Crossover Ventures. A parish treasurer reports Lloyds Bank closed the church's account and a bank system fault prevented opening the required new business account. The church opened an account at another bank but Lloyds repeatedly delayed transferring the remaining balance of nearly £5,500, at one point claiming lost ID documents.
