Fitch downgrades Sasa Polyester to CCC over refinancing risks

Fitch cut Sasa Polyester’s rating from B- to CCC, citing increased refinancing risks, high indebtedness and expected negative free cash flows for 2025–2027. A large portion of short-term liabilities must be refinanced and waivers for loan agreements have not been formalized, so Fitch regards liquidity as weak. Technical problems at a plant, a weak market environment and strong Asian competition are weighing on earnings; net debt/EBITDA could reach more than 21x in 2025.
