Acer launches modular laptop Vero 16 with unclear spare-part availability

Acer unveiled the modular Vero 16 laptop, which can be disassembled with common tools and features a user-replaceable battery, up to 32 GB RAM, an OLED 3K display (120 Hz) and an Intel Core Ultra 300. A chassis made from recycled aluminum and replaceable port modules are intended to promote sustainability and repairability. Acer unveils ultra-light Swift Blade 14 and Swift Air 16 with Intel Wildcat Lake

Acer introduced the Swift Blade 14, a 1.76 lb (799 g) laptop just 0.51 in (12.95 mm) thin using carbon fiber, and the larger Swift Air 16, a 3.31 lb (1.5 kg) 16‑inch model. Both lines will offer Intel Wildcat Lake processors and OLED screen options, with RAM up to 16GB on the Air and 12GB on the Blade. Ports include multiple USB-C/Thunderbolt options and a 3.5mm jack; storage and exact pricing will be announced closer to launch, with the Blade due in December and the Air 16 arriving in North America in Q1 2027.
