Asus wins US router exemption but won’t confirm plan to manufacture in the US

Asus launches OLED Xbox Ally X20 handheld starting at $1,300

Asus is selling the standalone OLED Xbox Ally X20 for $1,300 with pre-orders at Best Buy and Asus and shipping beginning October 15. The device features a 7.4-inch 1080p OLED, improved grips, a rotatable D-pad and other ergonomic refinements compared with earlier Ally models. Asus to sell standalone OLED Xbox Ally X20 after positive preview

Asus confirmed a standalone release of the OLED Xbox Ally X20 and showed a preview unit that impressed with its 7.4-inch 1080p OLED (up to ~1,400-nit peaks), anti-glare cover glass and improved rubberized grips and ABXY buttons. The transforming D‑pad and quieter fans were highlighted, while performance trails the MSI Claw 8 EX in raw FPS (Ally ~41–44fps vs Claw ~61–62fps in tested titles) but benefits from a 30–120Hz VRR panel and smoother perceived playback. Both handhelds drew similar power (~36W) for roughly two hours of battery life; the OLED Ally is expected to cost more than the current $1,000 Xbox Ally X.
