The USPTO has issued an allowance notice for a central patent covering GLIX1 that protects its use in tumors where cytidine deaminase is not highly overexpressed — which the company says applies to around 90% of all cancers. The patent strengthens IP protection for GLIX1 through at least 2040 with possible extensions, and accompanying international filings could provide protection until 2044.
