At the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology Conference, Lumen outlined an accelerated realignment toward digital network solutions, aiming to transform its fiber network into a platform for cloud access, automation and AI traffic. Strategic revenues recently rose about 14% and now account for more than half of total revenue; Network-as-a-Service is growing roughly 200% annually. Lumen is expanding its multi-cloud gateway so that more than 10 million U.S. business locations outside its own fiber network can access the same cloud network environment. Via the Lumen-Connect-Portal and APIs, customers can apply routing policies, segmentation and digital management across locations, even when sites are connected via third parties.
