State Street reports record Q2 revenue, raises 2026 outlook

State Street posted Q2 EPS of $3.65 (vs $2.17 a year ago) and record revenue of $4.0 billion, driven by record fee revenue and net interest income. The firm raised its 2026 guidance to fee revenue growth of 12–13% and net interest income growth of 14–15%, while expecting expenses to rise about 8% and roughly 500 basis points of positive operating leverage. Management set medium-term targets including a 35% pre-tax margin and mid-20s return on tangible common equity, citing growth from core businesses, alternatives, digital assets and an AI-driven transformation.
