Aberdeen will take over the investment management of the Herald Investment Trust in the third quarter of 2026 and plans a takeover offer for up to 66% of the issued share capital. Saba Capital Management has agreed to tender its entire stake and has entered into a three-year lock-up agreement with Aberdeen. Eight staff, including manager Katie Potts, are expected to move to Aberdeen; the transaction includes funds with around £1.6bn of assets under management and contains an option for up to eight additional trusts representing about £12.5bn in total.
