AIA Group raises profit guidance after strong H1 growth

AIA Group reported an operating profit after tax of $4.2bn for H1 2026 (up 13% per share) and a record Value of New Business (VONB) of $3.2bn (up 10%, adjusted +14%). Management raised the interim dividend by 10% and now expects to exceed its target of average annual operating earnings per share growth of 9–11% for 2023–2026. Growth was broad‑based across mainland China, Hong Kong, ASEAN and India; operating return on equity rose to 17.5%.
