Once‑daily doses of 4, 6 or 8 mg Alixorexton produced statistically significant improvements in excessive daytime sleepiness; all dose groups achieved mean Maintenance of Wakefulness Test values of at least 20 minutes and Epworth scores of ≤10 at week 6. In the 6‑mg group the weekly cataplexy rate fell versus placebo; the drug was generally well tolerated and no serious adverse events occurred. Alkermes has agreed an amendment to its loan agreement that reduces the interest margins on its secured senior term loans. The adjustment lowers the margin on the TLA facility by 0.75 percentage points and on the TLB facility by 0.50 percentage points; TLA has an outstanding amount of USD 745.3m (maturity Feb. 12, 2031), TLB USD 773.1m (maturity Aug. 12, 2031). After the amendment, TLA will bear interest at Term SOFR plus 1.75–2.25% or Alternate Base Rate plus 0.75–1.25% depending on net leverage, and TLB at Term SOFR plus 2.25% or Alternate Base Rate plus 1.25%.
