American Express is cutting around 3,500 jobs (about 5% of its workforce) to reduce costs. The company raised its 2026 earnings forecast to $18.30–$18.60 per share. In the third quarter, revenue rose nine percent to $20.1 billion, and net income grew 28% to $3.7 billion thanks to the sale of a stake in Global Business Travel.
