ArcelorMittal seen as main beneficiary of planned US–Canada tariff cut
Morgan Stanley estimates that halving the Section 232 tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminium could bring ArcelorMittal annual pre‑tax relief of about $300–350 million, roughly 3% of consensus EBITDA for 2027. The gain would mainly come from saved export costs on about 2 million tonnes of Dofasco flat steel to the US.
