AXIS Capital beats Q4 2025 expectations and raises outlook

AXIS Capital reported Q4 2025 EPS of $3.25 (expectation $3.12) and revenue of $1.73 billion (expectation $1.63 billion). The combined ratio fell to 89.8%, the lowest since 2010, and operating return on equity (ROE) was 18.1%. Book value per share rose 18% and gross written premiums increased 7%; the stock rose 1.5% in after‑hours trading. Axis Bank plans bond issue of up to 5,000 crore rupees

Axis Bank will raise up to 5,000 crore rupees through the issuance of long-term, non-convertible debentures via a private placement. The base size is 2,000 crore with an overallotment option for a further 3,000 crore rupees and is part of a previously approved programme to raise up to 35,000 crore rupees. Axis Capital buys back 2,404,133 common shares from Stone Point for $238m

Axis Capital repurchased 2,404,133 common shares from T‑VIII PubOpps LP, a vehicle managed by Stone Point, for about $238 million. The shares represent roughly 3.1% of outstanding common shares and mean that funds managed by Stone Point will hold no common shares after the transaction. The buyback was made under the board-approved repurchase program of up to $400 million.
