Cisco expands its partnership with NVIDIA and introduces the Cisco AI POD for Splunk, a Kubernetes-based infrastructure solution for AI workloads in on‑premises, private‑cloud and air‑gapped environments. Customers will be able to run Splunk AI Assistant and Agent Launchpad locally and use various models such as Cisco Deep Time Series Model, Google Gemma 4 and OpenAI GPT-OSS 20B; NVIDIA models are planned for later. Also announced were Splunk Agent Observability with tokenomics features, new edition tiers (Essentials, Premier) for the Observability Cloud, and enhancements for Splunk Enterprise Security. At the Goldman Sachs Technology Conference, Cisco said agent‑based AI, a major refresh cycle and higher security requirements are strongly driving demand for network infrastructure. Management forecasts midpoint revenue growth of 15% for fiscal 2027 and reported AI orders from hyperscalers of $9.3 billion ($4 billion in the last quarter). Cisco is investing in its own technology stack (Silicon One G300, photonics) with the goal of becoming independent of merchant silicon suppliers by 2029, and is using AI in product development (32,000 engineers).
