Contact Energy reported an underlying profit of NZD 423m (+62%) and EBITDAF of NZD 1.011bn (+31%) for fiscal 2026, driven by the full integration of Manawa Energy and a 37% higher renewable generation. The share of renewable generation rose to 98%, operating cash-conversion rate to 64%, and operating free cash flow to NZD 648m. The company raised the final dividend (NZD 0.24) and expects normalized EBITDA of around NZD 1.045bn for 2027, as well as a further dividend increase to NZD 0.42. Contact Energy plans to issue senior, unsecured green bonds of €500 million maturing in November 2032. UBS will act as stabilization manager; the stabilization period is expected to run from 23 October until no later than 2 December 2025, with an overallotment option of up to 5%. Proceeds are intended to finance environmentally sustainable projects.
