Filtronic reported revenue of £55.50m for fiscal year 2026, missing the consensus estimate of £56.15m. Adjusted EBITDA was £11.30m, net profit £4.60m and earnings per share £0.02; both metrics were partly reduced by higher investment. Revenue was weighed down by an additional £2.2m depreciation related to a stock option agreement with SpaceX and £2.0m of adverse currency effects from a weaker US dollar. Operating costs rose 19% due to spending on engineering, manufacturing and business development. Filtronic has received a provisional release of approximately £7m from a leading European prime contractor for the next phase of a long-running electronic sensing programme. The release allows work to begin ahead of the final contract award in the first quarter of 2026; the total value of the two-year programme is estimated at around £11m. In the first half, Filtronic landed the largest order in its history to date from SpaceX for E‑Band‑GaN products, as well as significant multi‑year contracts with a European aerospace manufacturer (€7m) and a defence order worth £13.4m. Cash balance fell to £10.5m after self‑funding the headquarters move; net liquidity excluding lease liabilities was £8.5m.
