Fonterra announces NZ$3.9bn payout and raises margins
Fonterra released half‑year results and announced a cash distribution of NZ$3.9bn (interim dividend 40 cents per share plus capital repayment of $2.00), payable on 14 April. Operating earnings rose to $1.23bn and profit after tax to $750m; return on capital improved to 11.2% and net debt fell by $523m. The company maintained its milk price forecast at $9.40–10.00/kgMS and raised its profit guidance for continuing operations to 50–65 cents per share. Fonterra is significantly increasing capex (capex for FY27 expected at $980m–1bn), advancing capacity expansions and an ERP rollout, but sees risks from commodity costs, exchange rates and global milk supply. » Altro su de.investing.com
Fonterra reports strong half-year results, stock unchanged
Fonterra delivered a robust first half, driven by favorable commodity prices, operational efficiency and a strategic focus on higher‑margin products. The company raised the midpoint of its profit guidance by NZD 0.025 per share and reported a 3.7% increase in milk deliveries to 1,565 million kg. Improvements were seen particularly in the Mainland business (NZD 71 million) and in the foodservice segment due to margin expansion. Despite the strong results, the share price remained stable; management warned of geopolitical risks in the Middle East and continued commodity volatility. » Altro su de.investing.com
