The study estimates initial capital expenditures of $523 million with a 2.7-year payback on base prices and a 1.9-year payback at spot prices. GoldMining has released an updated preliminary economic assessment (PEA) for the La-Mina project in Antioquia, Colombia, which, using metal prices of US$3,500/oz gold, US$4.70/lb copper and US$40/oz silver, shows an after-tax net present value (NPV, 5%) of US$1.0 billion and an IRR of 32.2%. The study foresees an initial capital investment of US$523 million, a mine life of 11.2 years and average annual production of 152,400 ounces gold equivalent in the first five years; total life-of-mine production is reported at 1.5 million ounces gold equivalent.
