i-80 Gold says preparatory work for the modernization of the Lone Tree autoclave and CIL plant is proceeding on schedule; main construction is slated to begin in Q4 2026 and demolition began in mid-June. By mid-July about 50% of procurement packages had been awarded and detailed engineering was roughly 30% complete. Estimated total capital costs are $430 million (including ~12% contingencies), with 2026 expenditures expected to be $140–160 million and the first gold pour after modernization forecast for late 2027. i-80 Gold entered a termination and settlement with Vox Royalty to end its gold offtake obligation that required delivery of up to 40,000 ounces per year through Dec. 31, 2028. To satisfy the agreement i-80 Gold will issue 3,453,237 common shares to Vox (aggregate consideration $4.8M at $1.39 per share). Freedom Broker raised its price target on i-80 Gold to $2.60 and reiterated a Buy after stronger Q1 results driven by higher gold sales volumes and realized prices.
