Inmarsat Maritime announces an upgrade to its NexusWave connectivity service using ViaSat-3 satellites, due to enter service in 2026, which will expand coverage across the Americas and the Asia-Pacific region. New VS60 shipboard terminals, developed with Intellian and based on Viasat SDR technology, achieved test download speeds of more than 250 Mbit/s. The enhanced service will combine multi-orbit capacity and support applications such as enterprise networking, video streaming, crew welfare and mission-critical operations.
