IPC: strong Q1, share under pressure due to higher investments and net debt
IPC reported production of 43,000 BOE/day for Q1 2026 (upper end of guidance), operating cash flow of US$68 million and net profit of US$13 million. Despite strong operating metrics, the share fell 4.2% after the results, weighed down by a US$30 million increase in net debt (to US$513 million) and negative free cash flow due to higher capital expenditures. The company raised its 2026 capex guidance to US$163 million and expects operating cash flow of US$220–340 million, based on a Brent price of US$70–90 per barrel. » Altro su de.investing.com

JPMorgan analyst Detlef Winckelmann attributes the price fall to weak demand, price concessions by integrated producers and stronger imports from Europe. The collapse in raw paper prices is seen as a negative signal for US packaging companies, as these prices are an important revenue driver and point to a weakening of the domestic market. » Altro su de.investing.com
