Irish Continental Group has agreed to a management-led takeover offer from Bluefin Bidco worth about €1.2bn. Bluefin is offering €8.00 per share in cash, a 28.2% premium to the closing price; the independent board unanimously recommends the offer. Management currently holds roughly 23.7% of the shares, is selling about one third for €90m and is contributing the remainder into the takeover structure, supplying around 30% of the combined equity.
